It’s always a bummer when summer isn’t going to last forever, which means your solid 3 months of holidays are also going to end soon. But hey, it’s not that bad! The end of the summer is just the beginning of something even greater – Fall semester. Isn’t it exciting to reunite with your little family back in school? For now, it’s time to see all those familiar faces again so that you have things to talk about your classes, crush, summer vacays, and summer gossips that you’ve missed out on.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by the back-to-school blues, it’s okay I’ve got you covered. Here’s a list of 5 ways to get pumped for school so that new school semester doesn’t sound too bad at all!
1. Back to School haul
There’s something oddly satisfying about the smell of new school bag, new notebooks, new pencil case, new pencils, and even new clothes. (or was it just me?) Yes, I’m talking about BTS shopping. Nothing is more excited than seeing stores launching BTS SALES EVERYWHERE so that you have a reason to go on a shopping spree.
I remember there was one time back in secondary school, my mom bought me a brand new Adidas backpack and I was so excited for the first day of school! This is a great way to keep you excited for the first day of school. Go to the nearest mall and search for things you like, whether it’s to buy new clothes, shoes or stationaries, but make sure you get yourself something real nice. 🙂

2. New Hairdo
New semester is always a new beginning and a new hairdo is a great way to represent that fresh start. Ever wanted to rock a trendy hairstyle but you keep procrastinating the thought of cutting it? Now is the best time to inject new life into your hair. Whether it’s to bob it, layer it, or dye it, your next fall look is going to be ah-mazing! Have a look at 2016’s best hairstyles online, then go to your most trusted local salon to get your hairdo done right. You’ll feel super excited to debut your new hairdo on the first day of school! (And be prepared for compliments aite)
3. Get Organized
According to Dr. Fader (Psychologist and an assistant professor of family medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine), a clean and organized environment has been associated with improved mood, lower stress level, and enhanced creativity. (Source: Psychology Today) Oh, and did I mention that cleaning is a workout that can burn extra calories too? Which means you’re one step closer to Bikini body!
So, while organizing clearly brings physical and psychological benefits to everyone, why not try spring cleaning today? Play your favorite music while cleaning will make the entire process enjoyable and fun! If you don’t have one, check out this page and thank me later. 😉
Ever wanted a Tumblr-worthy bedroom that looks incredibly romantic and dreamy? It’s easier than you think! (And less expensive). Start looking for some decor ideas from Pinterest, Tumblr or Youtube. A well-decorated space will keep you motivated and inspired to take on your day. If you’ve spent all your summer money on clothes and throwing parties, there are plenty of DIY tutorials you can find on the Internet. All you need to do is have fun and be creative! Besides room decor, you can also try personalizing your own stationaries to add extra personality to your stuff.

5. Plan Your Goals
Here you might ask: How does setting goals make me feel excited for school? The truth is, all the successful people and achievers in all fields set goals. Planning and setting goals give you long-term vision and short-term motivation. It increases your productivity and gives you a sense of purpose to pursuit knowledge. So, is there a field that you wanna put more focus on to become a better person? Big or small, they are still goals.
If you don’t have one, yet, it’s not too late to start now! First, think of what you want to achieve, and then put 100% commitment to it. Make sure you write that goal down to make them feel more tangible. Constantly revisit the goals you set for yourself and assess how you did it. Lastly, JUST DO IT! 😉
6. Popcorn Time
Grab your popcorn cuz we’re going to have a movie-thon! Watching movies can elevate your mood and give you some feel good factor. Here’s a list of inspirational movies guaranteed to lift your spirits and give you motivation to study.

7. One Last Party
End your summer holidays with a fantabulous party! Throw a phenom BBQ night, slumber party, pool party or an impromptu picnic date. Invite your school friends and family over to have a little catch up session before school begins. Once you get to catch up with your school friends, you should start to remember all the fun aspects of school and that will make you want to head straight to school and spend more time with your friends.
