Denim on Denim

Hello,

Welcome to Luulla Blog again!

Today’s topic will be “Denim on Denim”

This fashion trend has been around for years and it’s one of the fashion trends that won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. Probably is because everyone’s closet has, at least, a pair of jeans right?

If not jeans maybe a denim material type of shorts, skirts and etc?  You name it. =P

Before this trend becomes so popular, a lot of people might have the same thinking as me that the combination of denim top and bottom will look so weird and is a big No No.

However,  I guess now most of the people’s perception have changed after seeing more people mix and match the different tone of denim to create the Denim on Denim look and slowly start to love this style!

If you never try this trend out or unsure how to style it, it’s actually very simple!

Just remember the simple rule to wear this Denim on Denim look is that make sure the colour tone of denim top and a bottom is different from each other.

This round we have picked out some of the fashion bloggers who style their looks with denim on denim that we can learn from~

Fashion bloggers Caity, Annabelle Fleur, Lauren Slade and Tina Sizonova choose to create their Denim on Denim look by wearing a lighter tone of denim top and pair with a darker tone jeans pants. For those who never try this trend before and wanted to give it a try, this is a perfect combo of denim on denim look to try out =D. And of course, you can reverse it by wearing darker tone of denim as top and lighter tone of denim as the bottom. You can do it either way =) But for me, I prefer to match like the fashion bloggers as darker tone not only able to create a slimming bottom but also create a nicer proportion.

As you scroll down, take note that most of the fashion bloggers also choose to go with a lighter and brighter colour of shoe and pop with some blings to give their denim on denim look a twist to lift up their coordination since their top and bottom tend to be on the darker shade of colour =)

Let’s get inspired!

If you do not have different tone of denim clothes and only have almost the similar tone of denim top and bottom,

you can add in details like some accessories or match it with a lighter colour of bags and shoes to prevent one colour block of the whole coordination.

Just like fashion bloggers Cynthia and Anastasija Milojevic who match the two similar tone of denim together

They still look great as they pop their outfits with some brighter and lighter bags, accessories and shoes =)

And of course, you can pair with other shoes like sneakers or chunky heels or boots to go with the look. It will turn out to become more fun and chic!

Not only that, this trend for female comes with a lot more options compared to the male ranging from denim skirts, jeans, vests, shorts, jackets, jumpsuits, and the list goes on~
