If you’re a huge fan of pumpkin spice latte, this post is delicate to you!
Autumn is officially in the air, which means Starbucks is rolling out their seasonal drinks, and pumpkin spice latte turns out to be my favourite among all!
I still remember I cannot tolerate the taste when I first try it, but who knows it turns out to be my favourite today and I’ve been longing for it!
Hence, after some research, I’ve found the best homemade recipe to make this tasty pumpkin spice latte.
Now you don’t need to run out to Starbucks just for a pumpkin spice latte this fall.
You can be your own barista and make it at home whenever you want!
Without further do, let’s start with preparing the ingredients.
In order to make a delicious pumpkin spice latte, you will need the following ingredients
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree
- 1 – 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice (If you want to serve more, do add more teaspoons)
- 1/2 cup of strong-brewed hot coffee
- Whipped cream and caramel sauce (optional) for serving
First and foremost, add milk, pumpkin puree and sugar to a saucepan.
Then, start mixing them over medium heat. Heat them until it is hot but definitely not boil.
After that, remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla, pumpkin pie spice and the coffee.
Divide the mixture between two mugs. Top it with whipped cream and sprinkle some pumpkin pie spice and walaaa its done and it smells extremely divine! (yum~~~)
If you’re a huge fan of caramel, you can always add a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Tips to Make A Better PSL
Milk –> The PSL tastes best with whole milk.
However, you can still substitute with skim milk or even non-dairy milk such as soy.
Sugar –> The amount of sugar is up to you.
I personal prefer less sugar so if you want a stronger sweetened smell, feel free to add more tablespoons.
Pumpkin Pie Spice –> You can find this at the store or make it your own.
To make it your own, you just need to mix these ingredients in a spice jar.
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons of ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- A pinch of ground cloves
That’s all for today!
I hope you find this version of recipe easy and useful!
