1) Ruffian Nails
What you’ll need:
- Metallic nail polish as the base colour.
- Dark autumnal nail polish as the top colour.
- Top coat
Instructions:
- Apply metallic nail polish to your nail bed all over your fingernails. Let it dry completely.
- Start painting your nail with a dark autumnal nail polish, but a little bit above your cuticles in the shape of “U”. (Tips: It would be easier if you could start off in the middle above your cuticle, and then slowly trace the line in the shape of half circle.)
- Once you’ve done painting each of your nails, finish off with a layer of top coat and that’s it!
2) Bejeweled Nails
What you’ll need:
- Autumnal hues nail polish
- Top coat
- Nail art rhinestone
- Nail art tweezer
Instructions:
- Paint your nails with autumnal hues nail polish.
- Once you’ve done applying it, while it is still wet, use a nail art tweezer to apply rhinestone at the tip of your nails.
- Then, apply a thick layer of top coat to seal the edges and prevent the rhinestones from falling off. You’re done!
3) French Tip Chrome Nails
What you’ll need:
- Base colour nail polish
- Eyeshadow applicator
- Chrome pigment powder
- Top Coat
- Cotton pad
- Rubbing alcohol
Instructions:
- Base your nail bed with a layer of dark nail polish of your choice.
- Once your nail polish has completely dried, use an eyeshadow applicator to apply chrome pigment powder to your nail tip, just like how you would normally do french nails.
- Now, grab your top coat and start painting the french tip on to seal the chrome pigment powder.
- Once you’ve done sealing the chrome french tip, rub off the excess chrome pigment powder with rubbing alcohol.
- Lastly, apply another layer of top coat all over your nails and voila!
4) Plaid-esque Nails
What you’ll need:
- Beige nail polish
- Black and white fine brush nail polish
- Top Coat and base coat
Instructions:
- Apply one layer of base coat before you start applying nail polish to your nails.
- Once the base coat has completely dried, paint your nails with beige colour nail polish.
- Then, use a white fine brush nail polish, draw a simple vertical line about 1/4 to the left.
- Create another horizontal line using a black fine brush nail polish, about 1/3 from the top.
- Go back to the vertical line that you’ve created just now and draw another parallel white vertical line on the right side of the vertical line.
- Now, draw another horizontal black line below the first horizontal line. Be sure not to go over the first vertical white line to create an illusion that the line is going underneath it.
- Lastly, apply a layer of top coat and you’re completed!
5) Shattered Glass Nails
What you’ll need:
- Base Coat (optional)
- Black nail polish
- Top coat
- Iridescent cellophane
- Scissors
- Toothpick
Instructions:
- Firstly, apply one layer of base coat to your nail bed and let it dry.
- Then, apply black nail polish as the base colour of the shattered glass nail. You can opt for white base if you want to, but black base will create dramatic contrasts.
- Take out your iridescent cellophane and cut them into random shapes and pieces.
- Once you’ve done cutting it, apply another layer of clear nail polish to place these random iridescent pieces onto your nail.
- While the nail polish is still wet, pick those random iridescent pieces with a wet toothpick. Be sure to leave a space in between to create the shattered glass effect.
- Lastly, apply one or two layers of top coat to your nails and you’re done!
6) Negative Space Cut Out Triangle Nails
What you’ll need:
- Nail polish of your choice
- Top coat
- Base Coat
- Scotch tape
Instructions:
- First off, paint your nails with a layer of base coat. This step is important because your actual nails will peep out in this nail art design.
- Then, cut out a tiny piece of the scotch tape, stick the corner triangle of the tape onto the cuticle area.
- Now, start painting your nails with your preferred nail polish.
- Once you’ve done applying nail polish to your nails, peel off the scotch tape carefully.
- Lastly, apply a layer of top coat polish to make it last longer.
7) Half-Moon Nails
What you’ll need:
- Gold nail polish as the half-moon colour
- Burgundy nail polish as the top colour
- Top coat & base coat
- Reinforcement labels
Instructions:
- Before applying anything to your nails, paint one layer of base coat to your nails.
- Then, start painting your nails with a base colour which is gold nail polish. If the colour is too sheer, add a few more layers until the colour is striking enough.
- Once the base colour has completely dried, stick reinforcement labels onto your nails.
- Now, paint your fingernails with burgundy nail polish.
- Peel off the reinforcement labels once you’ve done painting your fingernails with top colour.
- Apply top coat to set the nail art and you’re good to go!
8) Stone Marble Nails
What you’ll need:
- White nail polish as base colour
- Light grey polish and Dark grey polish
- Plastic wrap
- Base coat
- Plastic cup filled with water
- Alcohol-based liquid spray bottle (hair spray, perfume, body spray, hand sanitizer etc.)
Instructions:
- Apply one layer of white nail polish to your fingernails.
- Take a plastic wrap and scrunch it up, then, paint a layer of light grey nail polish onto it and dab the excess polish off.
- Carefully dab the plastic wrap onto your white nails to create random marks.
- Next, take a plastic cup filled with water in room temperature, we’re going to use water spotted technique to create a dark grey marble texture. Drop five drops of dark grey nail polish into the water. Then, spray alcohol-based liquid until the nail polish has been broken up into thin lines.
- Place your finger into the delicate network of dark grey lines. Wait 10 seconds for the nail polish to dry.
- Then, use a toothpick to remove the polish left on the water surface.
- Remove your finger from the water and there you go! A sophisticated stone marble nails which you’ll adore very much.
- Lastly, use nail polish remover to remove excess polish around your nails.
9) Minimalist Nails
What you’ll need:
- Grey nail polish
- Black fine brush nail polish
- Top coat
Instructions:
- Start off with painting your nails with grey nail polish.
- Then, use a black fine brush nail polish, create a thick vertical line about 2/3 from the top.
- Repeat step 2 to all your fingernails.
